Adult Dance Classes
Being. Belonging. Becoming.
Dance is not just for kids! Adults can, and should, dance too
Confidence Creativity Wellbeing Connection Growth
At Hot House Dance, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, creativity and connection that dance can bring.
You do not need to call yourself a dancer.
You do not need to have years of experience.
You do not need to be a certain age, shape or ability.
You simply need the desire to move.
Our adult classes are designed for people who want to explore dance, improve their confidence, express themselves creatively and become part of a positive community.
Some people join us to try something completely new. Some return to a thing they left behind. Others come with years of experience and want to continue developing their skills.
Wherever you begin, you will be welcomed, supported and encouraged to grow.
Because dance is not something we outgrow.
It is something we can continue to experience throughout life.
What makes HHD Adults different?
At Hot House Dance, we believe adults deserve more than simply attending a class.
They deserve an environment where they feel comfortable to try, inspired to explore and supported to develop.
A Place Where You Can Be Yourself
Walking into a dance studio for the first time can feel daunting. We create an environment where people can arrive as they are, without judgement or pressure. Whether you are building confidence, trying something new or returning to movement after time away, you belong here.
Expert Teaching With Understanding
Our classes are led by experienced dance professionals who understand that everyone arrives with a different story. We combine high-quality teaching with encouragement, support and a genuine understanding of how adults learn.
Creativity, Expression and Exploration
Dance is more than remembering steps. It is a way to express yourself, explore creativity and discover new possibilities through movement. Our classes encourage individuality, curiosity and confidence.
Challenge That Helps You Grow
We believe growth comes from being challenged in the right way. Whether you are developing your first dance foundations or looking to refine your existing skills, our classes provide opportunities to keep learning and progressing.
Community and Connection
Dance is better when shared. Our classes bring together like-minded people who encourage one another, build friendships and create a positive community.
Excellence For Everyone
We believe outstanding teaching should be available to everyone. Whether this is your first class or you have danced for many years, you deserve to be taught with care, knowledge and purpose.

Our approach
At Hot House Dance, we believe adults should not have to choose between enjoyment and development.
The best learning happens when people feel safe enough to try, supported enough to make mistakes and encouraged enough to keep going.
Our teachers combine professional dance experience with a love for helping people discover what movement can offer.
We create classes that balance creativity, encouragement and progression, allowing every person to experience dance in a way that is meaningful to them.
For some, HHD becomes a place to discover a new love.
For others, it becomes a place to reconnect with something they once loved.
For those wanting greater challenge, our programme also provides opportunities to continue developing technique, artistry and performance.

Who are HHD Adult Classes for?
You might be completely new to dance. You might have danced as a child and always wondered what would happen if you started again. You might be looking for a fun way to get moving, meet people and do something positive for yourself.
You might already dance and want to explore something different, develop your skills or challenge yourself. Or you may have trained for years, worked professionally or teach dance yourself — and want somewhere to keep training, stay connected to your practice and continue developing.
You don’t have to fit one particular type of dancer to belong at HHD.
Our adult classes brings together different people, experiences and ambitions — from those taking their very first steps into dance to experienced dancers who are still hungry to learn.
And if you don’t know which category you fit into yet, that’s okay too.
Come as you are. Find the class that feels right for you.
HHD ADULT DANCE CLASSES

ADULT BEGINNERS CONTEMPORARY DANCE
The ABC of dance. A place to begin…
or begin again.
Adult Beginners Contemporary Dance is exactly what it says:
ABC, the starting place for your dance experience.
Perhaps you’ve never danced before.
Perhaps you danced as a child and haven’t stepped into a studio for years.
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to dance but never quite had the courage to try.
Or perhaps you’ve simply reached a point in life where you’ve thought: “I’m going to give this a go.”
ABC gives you the space to do exactly that.
Through contemporary dance, you’ll explore movement, musicality, creativity and expression while developing confidence and learning the foundations of dance.
You don’t need to be a certain age, fitness level or ability.
You don’t need to know what you’re doing before you arrive. (That’s our job - which we love)
You just need to be willing to try.
Who is it for?
Adults starting their dance experience, returning to something they once loved, or simply ready to step outside their comfort zone and try something new.
This is where your ABC can begin.

ADVANCED ADULT CONTEMPORARY DANCE
For adults who take their training seriously.
This is contemporary dance training for experienced dancers who want to keep developing.
For those who have trained, performed or worked professionally. For full-time dance teachers. For experienced dancers who simply aren’t ready to stop training.
This isn’t a recreational class with a higher level attached.
It is an opportunity to maintain, challenge and sharpen your dance practice — continuing to develop technique, artistry, physicality and movement understanding alongside other experienced dancers.
The class provides a space to work hard, stay connected to your own practice and continue developing the instrument that allows you to dance. Because being experienced doesn’t mean you stop learning.
Who is it for?
Experienced dancers, professional and former professional dancers, dance teachers and others with a substantial dance training background who want to continue their contemporary practice.

ADULTS STRENGTH & CONDITIONING, FOR DANCERS
Train & Maintain the instrument that makes your dancing possible.
This isn’t a generic gym-based strength and conditioning class.
It is specifically designed around the physical demands of the dancer’s body.
Whether you’re just beginning to dance, developing your technique or have trained for years, strength and conditioning can help you build the physical foundations that support your movement.
Expect focused work on areas such as strength, stability, mobility, control, balance and physical resilience — all with the needs of dancers in mind.
You don’t have to be an experienced dancer to join.
The class is designed to meet people at different stages, making it relevant whether you’re discovering dance through HHD, developing your practice or maintaining a body that has already spent years dancing.
Who is it for?
Dancers of all levels and backgrounds who want to become stronger, more physically capable and better prepared for the demands of dance.
From someone taking their first dance classes to the experienced dancer wanting to maintain their physical practice — this class meets you where you are.

Not just weekly classes…. There is more
HHD Xtra
More ways to dance. More reasons to come back.
Your weekly class isn’t the whole HHD Adults experience.
Throughout the year, HHD Xtra brings additional opportunities to dance, explore and try something different — including our popular Adult Sunday Sessions, adult dance days, workshops, guest teachers and classes in styles you might not normally have the chance to experience.
Our Sunday Sessions are particularly about opening the HHD house to adults who want to sample something different — different styles, different teachers and different ways of moving, without having to commit to another weekly class.
Some HHD Xtra events are for experienced dancers. Others are simply about having a go, meeting people and discovering something new.
Come for the class. Stay for the experience.
