This summer, more than ever we are so excited to bring back the big and very popular “Summer House”- The Hot House Dance Summer intensive Youth Dance Training Course.
For all the obvious reasons, It’s been a while, and now is the time to get back to where we left off. It’s now time to RE:Focus, RE:Vive and RE:Build. This youth dance intensive training week is guaranteed to be fun, personally rewarding and push you further.

Hot House Dance are constantly developing to make sure we meet your individual needs and high expectations. This year will not disappoint. We have invited some of the UK’s leading dance companies to share and inspire professional and cutting edge ideas, technique and creative processes.

This course is ideal for those exploring the world of dance or for those who are already fully engaged in dance training. Workshops are carefully designed to meet you wherever you are at, to deepen your love and interest in dance, as well as pushing and developing your ability in dance technique and creativity.
This is a must for any dancer studying dance, (BTEC, GCSE, A LEVEL or higher). Many of the companies Hot House Dance have invited are being studied as part of these qualifications, and will give your first hand insight into the company’s ethos and processes.

Monday 8th August
IRIE! dance theatre is Britain’s leading dance theatre company working in the field of African & Caribbean dance fusion. Currently running a BA(Hons)degree in Diverse Dance Styles.
IRIE! are presenting Leroy Dias Dos Santos for this years Summer School- working in a fusion of Urban styles, the day will be a mixture of technique and creative Urban fusion sequences to learn.

Tuesday 9th August
Studio Wayne McGregor artists will lead a workshop starting with an energetic and fast-paced contemporary technique class, followed by phrases from Company Wayne McGregor’s repertoire. In the second half of the workshop, participants will experience Wayne McGregor’s creative tools, practices and exercises, giving deep insight into his artistic process and an understanding of how Company repertoire is developed during a creation period.

Avant Garde Dance Company is at the forefront of London’s innovative Hip hop/ Contemporary Dance scene. The company was founded in 2001 and is led by Artistic Director Tony Adigun.
Having gained extensive experience in the world of commercial dance, Tony set out to transform a group of hip hop dancers into a unique company that could also explore contemporary influences and create a more unusual, abstract and artistic practice. The company’s dynamic performances explore a myriad of styles, themes and media, whilst embracing different genres and forms of music, dance, literature, circus and digital work.
The mantra ‘Innovate Never Replicate’ is evident throughout the work as the company embraces a sense of difference, individuality and uniqueness.
